This Thursday evening (1 August 6-8pm), our region’s software developers, hackers, engineers and makers will come together for our next Coding from Beach meetup.
This month’s hands-on session is “The Grand Fabric of AI at your Command”.
On the Menu of Marvels:
“Fabricating the Future”: Ric’s Dazzling Demo
Witness the AI components framework Fabric in action! Ric will show us how to stitch together the perfect AI tool for any occasion. Warning: May cause spontaneous “oohs” and “aahs”.
“LLMs: The Collaborative Colossus”: Bert’s Deep Dive
Join Bert as we collectively wrangle large language models in a hands-on colab session. Bring your laptops and prepare use LLM outside (sonnets about coding encouraged).
What to Bring:

Your brilliant minds (AI-enhanced or otherwise)

A laptop for the colab session (bonus points if it can pass the Turing test)

Questions that would stump even the most advanced chatbot

A willingness to laugh at AI jokes, no matter how artificially generated they may be
Remember, attendance at this meetup may significantly increase your chances of understanding AI-generated memes and impressing your friends with tech jargon.
