The Hub’s September school holiday program runs from 21 September to 2 October. There are ten practical workshops for kids and teens who would rather make something than sit through another lecture.
This round includes LEGO Spike robotics, drone design and flying, Minecraft minigames, making music with Ableton Lite, digital art on iPad, character design, filmmaking, junior entrepreneurship and building a website with AI.
The workshops suit different ages and experience levels. Some are a first go at a new tool. Others give young people who are already deep into a hobby more time, better equipment and people to learn alongside.
Many sessions are led by talented young techies and creatives from the Hub’s own programs. Kids tend to listen closely when the person teaching them is only a few years ahead and can show exactly how they got started.
